Our approach draws from Montessori, classical education, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, Forest School, Socratic learning and modern learning science—but we aren't trying to replicate any one of them.

The person behind Agape
Meet April Robert
Founder & Director
“What kind of people are we helping our children become?”
That question sits at the heart of Agape: strong academic foundations, meaningful responsibility, Christian formation and room for adventure.
April Robert founded Agape in 2020 with a desire to bring Christian faith, meaningful learning and childhood adventure together. She earned her degree in elementary education at Arizona State University with an ESL endorsement, and her experience includes teaching in China and exploring Montessori and project-based learning. At Agape, she brings that background to a whole-child approach that connects strong academics with character, responsibility and purpose.
Safety & trust
A small school should mean greater accountability, not less.
Families entrust us with what matters most. Agape uses defined staff screening, supervision, visitor, health and incident-response practices designed to protect children while preserving the warm, relational environment of a small school.
Agape structures supervision to reduce isolated one-on-one situations between adults and children and to keep interactions observable and accountable whenever practical.

Will my child receive strong academics?
Strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics are central to the Agape Model. On your tour, ask to see the learning materials and discuss how progress is observed.
What does learner-driven mean if my child doesn't want to work?
Agency grows with practice and adult guidance. Learners need clear expectations, meaningful choices and support to follow through.
What does Christian education look like?
Bible and Socratic discussion are part of the daily rhythm. Faith and character also shape how learners consider responsibility, relationships and service.
How does mixed-age learning work?
A mixed-age community creates opportunities to learn alongside others and practice responsibility. Academic work should reflect individual readiness.
Is Agape mostly outdoor play?
Nature and movement sit alongside academic foundations, Scripture, writing and purposeful projects. See the daily rhythm above.
What does Agape cost?
2027–2028 new-enrollment tuition: Full-Time Academy: $14,000/year (10 × $1,400). Two-Day Homeschool Hybrid: $7,500/year (10 × $750), Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Thursday. Full-Time deposit: $1,000; Hybrid deposit: $500. Deposits are credited toward tuition. Need-based deposit accommodations may be available.
How does MOScholars work?

What are the school hours?
School day: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM. No before care.
What happens during a Discovery Visit?
Discovery Visits may be half-day or full-day depending on age and circumstances. They evaluate mutual fit. April Robert makes the final admissions decision.
