There are moments in a school’s story that feel bigger than logistics or paperwork—moments that feel like provision.
Not because everything suddenly becomes easy, but because a door quietly opens that once felt closed.
For many Christian families, private education has long lived in that space between desire and uncertainty. Parents want formation, not just instruction. They want faith woven into daily learning, not added on. They want their children known, challenged, and guided with wisdom.
And yet, for years, the question lingered: Is this even possible for our family?
This is why we are deeply grateful—and genuinely excited—to share that Agape Adventure Academy has been approved to participate in the Missouri Scholars (MOScholars) K–12 Scholarship Program through the Herzog Tomorrow Foundation.
This is not just an announcement.
It’s an invitation to reimagine what may now be possible.

Why This Matters More Than a Scholarship
On paper, MOScholars is a program. A line item. A dollar amount. But in real life, it’s something much more human.
It’s the family who has prayed about a different environment for their child but assumed it was out of reach.
It’s the parent who has watched their child quietly disengage and wondered if there was another way.
It’s the mother or father who believes deeply in Christian formation—but also lives in the real world of budgets, groceries, and responsibilities.
For the 2025–26 school year, the Herzog Tomorrow Foundation awarded over 2,400 scholarships, each valued at $7,145, to qualifying Missouri students—empowering families to choose a private school aligned with their values.
Their stated goal is not simply access, but agency: giving families the ability to take meaningful ownership of their child’s education.
That language matters. Because education is not neutral. And choosing wisely is an act of stewardship.

A Gentle Reframe: Education Is Not Just a Service—It’s Formation
One of the quiet tensions parents feel—but don’t always say out loud—is this:
“My child is doing okay… but I’m not sure they’re becoming who they’re meant to be.”
That tension doesn’t come from fear. It comes from discernment.
The most powerful frame is not comparison, but criteria. Before we ask which school, we must ask what kind of formation we believe matters most.
At Agape Adventure Academy, we believe education is not merely about content delivery. It is about shaping:
• Character before credentials
• Responsibility before compliance
• Curiosity before consumption
• Faith lived daily, not compartmentalized
This is why programs like MOScholars matter. They don’t push families into a system. They allow families to choose alignment.

Who Is the MOScholars Program For?
One of the most common questions we receive is:
“Do we even qualify?”
The Missouri Scholars program is designed to serve a wide range of families—not just one narrow category. Under Missouri state law, a student may qualify if they are a legal Missouri resident and meet one of the following conditions:
• The student has had a formal IEP or ISP issued within the past 36 months
OR
• The student’s household income is under 300% of the reduced lunch threshold
(For example, a family of four earning $178,433 or less)
In addition, the student must meet one of the following:
• Entering Kindergarten or 1st Grade, or
• Has attended a public school for at least one semester in the past 12 months, or
• Is a sibling of a renewal scholarship student
These criteria are broader than many families expect—and that’s intentional.
This program is about opening access, not narrowing it.

Why Herzog’s Vision Aligns With Our Mission
The Herzog Tomorrow Foundation has long championed Christian education, not as an escape from culture, but as a way to thoughtfully engage it.
They understand something essential:
When families are empowered to choose education aligned with their convictions, communities grow stronger.
At Agape Adventure Academy, our mission is deeply aligned with this vision. We are a Christ-centered, nature-based, academically rigorous school serving children ages 3–12. We blend classical foundations, Montessori-inspired independence, and hands-on experiential learning—rooted in faith and lived daily.
We are not trying to be the biggest school.
We are committed to being a meaningful one.

A Story We See Often
There is a moment that happens again and again when families tour Agape.
A parent watches their child step into the rhythm of the day—outdoors, engaged, calm, curious. They see older children helping younger ones. They hear thoughtful questions. They notice peace.
And quietly, they exhale.
Later, they’ll say something like:
“I didn’t realize how much tension we were carrying.”
This is not because previous choices were wrong. It’s because alignment brings relief.
For many families, the scholarship simply removes the final barrier that kept them from stepping into that alignment.
⸻
What This Means Practically for Families
Let’s be clear and grounded.
The MOScholars scholarship does not automatically guarantee funding for every qualifying student. Demand is high, and funding depends on program availability and donor participation.
But it does mean this:
• Families now have a real pathway to apply
• The door is open to explore
• Conversations can begin without the immediate assumption of “we can’t”
The current application window is open through April 3.
We strongly encourage families who believe they may qualify—especially those with children entering Kindergarten or First Grade, or transitioning from public school—to apply.
Sometimes discernment begins simply by taking the next faithful step.

⸻
Why This Moment Matters Now
Missouri’s education landscape is shifting. Governor Kehoe’s recent proposal to allocate $60 million toward MOScholars represents growth—but also highlights the reality that demand exceeds supply.
This is not about urgency driven by fear.
It’s about awareness.
When opportunities align with conviction, wise families pay attention.
⸻
A Word to Parents Who Are Unsure
If you’re reading this and feeling both hopeful and hesitant, that’s okay.
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You don’t need to commit today.
You don’t need certainty—only curiosity.
Christian education has never been about perfection. It’s about direction.
And sometimes, provision arrives not as a guarantee, but as an invitation to trust and explore.

St Louis Private Christian School
The most important chapters in a family’s story are often written quietly—through small decisions made with faith.
This may be one of those moments. A door has opened.
Not for everyone—but for many. And for the families it’s meant for, it could change more than a school year. It could shape a childhood.
